girl who died after undergoing a heart procedure at Loyola University Medical Center is suing the hospital and her physicians, saying they knew she had a latex allergy but still used a latex-tipped catheter during the operation.
Kara Eubanks of Calhoun, Ky., died three days after going into cardiac arrest as doctors performed a procedure in 2007, said the lawsuit filed Wednesday. A Loyola spokeswoman declined to comment on the suit.
